ECUAMOD model presented in Quito

ECUAMOD, the tax-benefit microsimulation model for Ecuador was presented by the ECUAMOD national team from IAEN (El Instituto de Altos Estudios Nacionales) at the 5th national Economy meeting of the Department of Quantitative Economics at the National Polytechnic School in Quito 11-13 December 2019.

The biannual event seeks to raise awareness of advances in economic research in Ecuador as well as abroad. The event brought together teachers, researchers and students from different branches of the economy from both Ecuador and Latin America.

The majority of the presenters were Ecuadorians who are conducting research in foreign universities or with international researchers. The meeting was an opportunity to exchange ideas and to create networks with potential partners.
