El webinar tendrá lugar el 30 de Septiembre 2020.
El seminario web también demuestra, a través de un ejercicio concreto, los resultados preliminares de un estudios dirigido a estimar el impacto del COVID-19 sobre la distribución del ingreso en el Ecuador.
FLACSO Ecuador and UNU-WIDER, in collaboration with the EUROMOD team at the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) at the University of Essex will organize a webinar on the use and results of the ECUAMOD tax-benefit microsimulation model. The event will be held in Spanish.
The webinar will feature an introduction on the objectives, scope and possibilities of ECUAMOD. The presentations also aim to show participants how useful this type of tax-benefit microsimulation models can be for developing countries such as Ecuador. To demonstrate the usefulness of the tool and methodology the ECUAMOD team will do an exercise in which the team calculates the distributional effects of COVID-19 in the economy of Ecuador.
The webinar will be useful for students in the area of public policy, economics and economic development; for Ecuadorian academics; for policy-makers, and for civil servants.
