Recent research results from analyses based on Ugandan administrative tax data will be presented to policy makers, government officials, and the interested research community in Kampala. The policy seminar is organized jointly by UNU-WIDER and the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA).

The aim of the policy seminar is to provide a platform for sharing findings and lessons learnt, to facilitate discussion between different actors, and to facilitate policy uptake.

The event will feature presentations from UNU-WIDER researchers and URA experts on recent research findings. The topics include tax compliance of small enterprises, development of individual income tax and results from excise duty simulations using the UGAMOD tax-benefit microsimulation model.
