Global Solutions Summit 2018
The Global Solutions Summit 2018, held on May 28 and 29 in Berlin, Germany was organised by the Global Solutions Initiative. The summit addressed major G20 topics including the future of work, infrastructure for sustainable development, food security and international economic governance
The event bought together researchers, think tanks and industry experts to address the world's most pressing issues with international policy leaders. The event attracted over 1,100 participants, official delegates from T20 Argentina 2018 and T20 Japan 2019, Nobel Laureates and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
UNU-WIDER deputy director and chief economist, Tony Addison took to the stage with a panel of experts in the session ‘Fair, Inclusive and Sustainable Living Environments’ to discuss the role the extractive sector plays in development.
