Inclusive development in Myanmar: Training course on sampling methodology and basic statistics
Professors Henrik Hansen and John Rand, both University of Copenhagen, will run a training course on sampling methodology and basic statistics for staff from the Central Statistical Organization (CSO) of the Ministry of Planning and Finance of Myanmar.
The training will partly repeat the earlier training course on sampling methodology delivered in March 2017. The quantitative Myanmar Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) survey data will be used to illustrate data preparation, descriptive analysis, and regression analysis. A final assignment using MSME data will give participants an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the methods.
The training relates to the preparations to conduct the second wave of the MSME quantitative survey in 2019. The aim of the training is to provide capacity-building for the CSO staff to develop their statistics skills to ensure a successful implementation of the survey.
