The topic of Pirttilä's presentation is 'Taxpayer response to greater progressivity: Evidence from personal income tax reform in Uganda'. The presentation is based on the results of a WIDER Working Paper.
The Tax for Development webinar series features ongoing research and initiatives which aim to strengthen domestic revenue mobilization in developing countries, with a focus on sub-Saharan Africa.The main target audience for the webinar series is tax researchers around the world, but the topics can be of interest to policy makers and other experts as well.
The presentation is part of UNU-WIDER's Building up efficient and fair tax systems – lessons based on administrative tax data project, which is one workstream under UNU-WIDER's programme on Domestic Revenue Mobilization (DRM). The DRM programme is financed by the Norwegian development co-operation agency Norad.
