Myanmar Social Accounting Matrix Development

As part of the research collaboration with the Central Statistical Organization (CSO) of the Ministry of Planning and Finance of Myanmar, UNU-WIDER and the Development Economics Research Group (DERG) of the University of Copenhagen, a workshop will be organised from 4 to 18 November 2019 at the CSO offices in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar.

The purpose of the two-week workshop is to develop the 2017 Social Accounting Matrix (SAM). The participants of the workshop, which will be convened by Dirk van Seventer, will include staff from the CSO, the Ministry of Planning and Finance as well as the Myanmar Central Bank. 

The development of a Social Accounting Matrix (SAM) for Myanmar is part of the Towards inclusive development in Myanmar programme.
