New realities and challenges for development brought by COVID-19
On 1 December, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and UNU-WIDER organize a special event between UNU-WIDER researchers and MFA Finland experts on the new realities and challenges for development brought by COVID-19.
The dialogue covers four thematic sessions, with a cross-cutting focus on gender and education.
The session on poverty and inequality is led by Senior Research Fellow Rachel Gisselquist. Session on governance and fragility is conducted by Senior Research Fellow Patricia Justino, followed by a session on informality and employment by Research Fellow Michael Danquah. The dialogue is concluded with the last session on taxation and social protection, led by Research Fellow Pia Rattenhuber.
