This was the third and final meeting of participants in the Political Economy of Food Price Policy project, which is jointly led by UNU-WIDER, Cornell University, and the University of Copenhagen and partially supported by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The project aims to explain the political economy and policy-making processes underlying government responses to recent food price crises with a combination of case studies from both developing and developed countries as well as a variety of synthesis studies.
