Public Forum on extractive industry and development
The Inclusive growth in Mozambique programme will host a public forum on 26 March 2019 on the topic of Extractive Industry and Development.
The Chief Economist and Deputy Director of UNU-WIDER Tony Addison will give a presentation based on a major new UNU-WIDER open access book Extractive industries: the management of resources as a driver of sustainable development, published by Oxford University Press. The presentation will focus on the growing role and importance of oil and gas and mining in developing countries, as well as the risks and uncertainties associated with this trend.
The event is open to everyone and it will be held at the Main Campus of the Eduardo Mondlane University in Maputo. Please register for the event here.
