The theme of the event was how parliaments, as deliberative and representative bodies, can bring diverse perspectives and communities together to achieve more accountable and inclusive democracies. At the event Addison spoke about taxes, transparency, and state-building, as well as UNU-WIDER’s ongoing work on tax revenues and extractive industries.
The seminar brought together parliamentarians and experts from around the world, including Tanzania, Zambia, and Myanmar.
