Training on Business Practice Intervention Survey in Myanmar

As part of the Towards inclusive development in Myanmar programme, a six-day training on the Business Intervention Survey (BPI) was held on 24-29 February, 2020 at the Central Statistical Organization (CSO) in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. The participants included 76 CSO enumerators and supervisors from different states and regions in order to prepare them to execute upcoming the Business Intervention Survey, which is part of the broader Myanmar Enterprise Monitoring System (MEMS) project.

The training focused on understanding of the specifics of the questionnaire module, including the use of tablets and Computer-Aided Personal Interviewing (CAPI) technology. It also included a practical component of survey piloting in Meiktila, Mandalay region.

The training was delivered by Professor Paolo Falco and Research Assistants Stewart McGill and Beatrice Gibertini from the University of Copenhagen/UNU-WIDER.
