UNU-WIDER at the 44th meeting of the Brazilian Econometric Society

On 6-9 December 2022, UNU-WIDER joins the 44th meeting of the Brazilian Econometric Society (SBE). On Thursday 8 December, the programme includes a special session on ‘Inequality and development’ featuring recent research from UNU-WIDER's WIID and SOUTHMOD - simulating tax and benefit policies for development Phase 2 projects. 

The programme also includes keynote presentations by Nobel Laureat David Card of the University of California Berkley, as well as Renee Brown of UC San Diego and Michael Weber from the University of Chicago.
