UNU-WIDER research presented at 2024 ATI General Assembly
UNU-WIDER Research Fellow Pia Rattenhuber presents, 'Practical benefits of exploiting the complementarity between research and development – examples from sub-Saharan Africa' at the 2024 ATI General Assembly.
Domestic Revenue Mobilization (DRM) remains a crucial strategy for building economic resilience and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Despite a clear consensus on its importance, many developing countries still face significant untapped tax potential. This session will delve into the evolving landscape of international cooperation on DRM, particularly focusing on South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTrC), and the role of research in enhancing tax systems and DRM effectiveness.
This session is a key component of the 2024 ATI General Assembly. It aligns with the broader goals of the assembly to enhance international cooperation in DRM and finance for development, especially in the wake of recent global challenges and decreasing ODA levels for DRM.
