UNU-WIDER shares latest research at CSAE conference in Oxford

The Centre for the Study of African Economies 2019 conference on Economic Development took place 17-19 March in Oxford, UK.
The conference showcased the latest research and featured panel discussions on current topics affecting economic development.
As part of the programme, four UNU-WIDER researchers presented their work. Carlos Gradín presented the paper Quantifying the contribution of a subpopulation to inequality: An application to Mozambique; Maria Jouste presented on tax compliance and revenue using Ugandan tax administrative data; Amina Ebrahim presented on the effects of a youth wage subsidy on employment in South Africa; and Sam Jones presented on Inequality of opportunity in education.
