The Academic Track of the World Investment Forum aims to bridge the gap between academia, policy and business. UNU-WIDER is one of the six academic institutions partnering in the organization of the Academic Track.

Investment for Development Research Square, 16-20 October
The Investment for Development Research Square, organized by UNCTAD in collaboration with UNU-WIDER, New York University - Abu Dhabi, Middlesex University - Dubai, Geneva Graduate Institute, and the Academy of International Business, is located in the Investment Village of the World Investment Forum 2023. The Square provides a platform for discussions and features exhibition booths.
UNU-WIDER's exhibition booth displays information on the Domestic Revenue Mobilization programme, World Income Inequality Database, results of the UNU-WIDER work programme 2019-2023 and a collection of videos related to our research and capacity development inititatives.
About the conference
The World Investment Forum, organised by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) is a global platform for investment and development. The Forum devises strategies and solutions for global investment and development challenges, facilitating multi-stakeholder collective action to stimulate investment in development. The Forum offers an opportunity to influence investment-related policymaking, shape the global investment environment, and to network with global leaders in business and politics.
