Violence, Inequality, and Growth in Latin America
The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, the United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Finland organise a special seminar on Violence, Inequality, and Growth in Latin America on 16 November 2021 at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
The presentation and discussion will focus on the findings of the 2021 Regional Human Development Report titled ‘Trapped? Inequality and Economic Growth in Latin America and the Caribbean’. The report will be introduced by its lead author Marcela Meléndez, UNDP Chief Economist for Latin America and the Caribbean, with Ana Arjona from Northwestern University as a discussant and Patricia Justino from UNU-WIDER providing commentary.
