Workshop on Survey on prices of agricultural products

On the 13 June, the Centre for Economic and Management Studies (CEEG), on behalf of the  Faculty of Economics of the Eduardo Mondlane University (UEM), will organize a workshop to disseminate the results of the Survey on prices of agricultural products in the main markets of Maputo City and Province, implemented under the Inclusive growth in Mozambique (IGM) programme. The event will take place at 7:30-12:00 in Radisson Blu Hotel, Maputo, Mozambique.

The event is structured around an overall presentation of the survey, detailed presentations and discussions on the results of the different components, as well as identifying opportunities for potential research to be carried out based on the data available.

The survey being presented was carried out with the objective of closing the data gap on key food item prices in the main retail and wholesale markets of Maputo Province, in an effort to improve the understanding the dynamics of price formation, which is fundamental to mitigate the adverse effects of price volatility to the economy.
