Karri Vuoristo

Karri Vuoristo is a Research Assistant at UNU-WIDER, contributing to the Tax research for development project and specialising in data preprocessing and analysis. Karri holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Aalto University.

Karri has prior experience working with large datasets through internships at the VATT Institute for Economic Research and the National Bureau of Intelligence in Finland. At VATT, Karri focused on collecting and analysing data on foreign direct investments, tax revenue, and official development assistance in Sub-Saharan Africa. At the National Bureau of Intelligence, his work centred on examining the role of virtual currencies in crime within Finland.
