UNU-WIDER Accepting PhD Internship Applications - 1 to 31 March 2014


The United Nations University World Institute for Development Economics Research is accepting applications for the PhD Internship Programme 1-31 March 2014.

The PhD Internship Programme gives registered doctoral students an opportunity to work with UNU-WIDER researchers in areas of mutual interest, utilizing the resources and facilities at UNU-WIDER for their PhD dissertation or thesis research. In 2013, about 200 applications were received from doctoral students in both developing and developed countries and eight interns undertook a three-month research period at the institute in Helsinki, Finland.

Dr Aziz Karimov undertook his PhD Internship in Spring 2011. He is now International Research Scientist at The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) in Hanoi, Vietnam. Read about his experience at UNU-WIDER and general advice for early career researchers.
