Parallel session
Refugees, integration, inequality
The last several years have seen the largest refugee crisis in Europe since the Second World War. One of many challenges posed has been how to best integrate forced migrants into Western host country economies, societies, and polities - including addressing tensions posed by inequality and disadvantage.
What can we learn from past experience in facing the current refugee crisis and future refugee inflows? Speakers in this session will draw on findings from Finland, Sweden, and the UK in comparative perspective.
