A Tale of Entrepreneurship in Two Iraqi Cities

Businesses play an important role in societies in conflict, contributing to trajectories of continued conflict or transitioning out of conflict. The institutional and historic context affects the potential of entrepreneurship and can be particularly important during times of change. In this paper, I discuss the relevance of the institutional and historic context of two cities in southern Iraq.
