Abstract - Demographic Trends and Attitudes towards Migration Globally

After more than a decade of research on immigration in the United States, Pew Research Center has intensified its exploration of international opinion of migration, as well as global migration and demographic trends.

In this session, Dr. Neil Ruiz, the Center’s Associate Director for Global Migration and Demography, will present newly released findings on what the public in 27 nations thinks about immigration and offer new demographic analysis of migration patterns. In addition, he will examine trends in high-skilled migration in key labor markets as well as unauthorized immigration in Europe and the U.S.
