About the speaker

Vito Peragine is Professor of Public Economics and Head of Department of Economics at the University of Bari. Previously he has held the position of Lecturer in Economics at the University "Carlos III" of Madrid (1999-2001). He holds a Ph.D. in Economics at the University of York. His main research interests are in the area of public economics, particularly in the field of poverty and inequality, distributive justice, social policy, and the economics of education.
