Olli-Pekka Kuusela is a Research Fellow at UNU-WIDER. His work focuses on the links between climate change, just transition, and distributional outcomes in Global South countries, with a specific focus on environmental taxation. He has previously worked for Oregon State University, ETLA Economic Research, and Natural Resources Institute Finland.
Kuusela’s research has been published in leading international journals, such as European Economic Review, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Ecological Economics, and Environmental and Resource Economics.
Kuusela holds an academic title of Docent in Environmental and Resource Economics from University of Helsinki. He earned his MA and PhD from Virginia Tech.
