On 27–29 July 2022, the Inclusive growth in Mozambique (IGM) programme organizes a course on recent trends in poverty, inequality and growth at the University of Eduardo Mondlane (UEM).
The training is given by Vincenzo Salvucci, Assistant Professor at the University of Copenhagen (UCPH) and Non-Resident Advisor of the IGM programme, at the Faculty of Economics of UEM. It is targeted for professors and researchers of the Faculty of Economics (FACECO).
The three-day course consists of an overview of the concepts of poverty, inequality and growth and of related tendencies until 2014–2015, followed by an analysis of the impact of COVID-19 and other recent developments in Mozambique and a discussion on their policy implications. The course is structured around lectures, practical exercises, and group work.
