IGM course on poverty, inequality and growth
On 1-3 August 2022, the Inclusive growth in Mozambique (IGM) programme organizes a short course on poverty, inequality and growth, with a focus on Mozambique, for the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Mozambique (MEF).
The training consists of an overview of the concepts of poverty, inequality and growth and related analysis, with a special focus on the Mozambican context, as well as an introduction to poverty measurement methodologies.
The course is designed for technicians and analysist at MEF, in particular at the National Directorate of Economic and Development Policies (DNPED) and National Directorate of Planning and Budgeting (DNPO). Its objective is to strengthen the day-to-day poverty analysis and related policymaking carried out at the ministry.
The course is given by Vincenzo Salvucci, Assistant Professor at the University of Copenhagen (UCPH) and Non-Resident Advisor of the IGM programme.
