IGM training on GIS and use of satellite data
The use of geographic information systems (GIS) in social sciences is becoming increasingly important for understanding complex issues with a spatial dimension.
This short course, organized under the Inclusive growth in Mozambique (IGM) programme, aims to inspire researchers at the University of Eduardo Mondlane and analysts at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Mozambique to think about the potential use of GIS and satellite data, and provide the basic skills that allow for further exploration.
The three-day course is organized on 5–6 and 8 April at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Eduardo Mondlane (UEM). It is given by Peter Fisker, University of Copenhagen Assistant Professor and Non-Resident Advisor of the IGM programme.
