UNU-WIDER 40th Anniversary Reception: the power of (shared) knowledge

In 2025, it will be 40 years since the UNU-WIDER opened its doors. To mark this milestone, UNU-WIDER organizes a reception in Helsinki on 27 March 2025 to celebrate the Institute with key stakeholders from its network in Finland. This by-invitation only event officially initiates UNU-WIDER’s 40th anniversary celebrations and will be a key moment to celebrate the impact of UNU-WIDER research at the global and UN level for the past 40 years.

Helsinki Symposium on reform of the international financial architecture

26 March 2025 | Reforming the international financial architecture (IFA) is a key policy demand by developing countries, as reflected in the discussions leading to the Summit of the Future in September 2024. However, there is limited consensus on which solutions can work in reforming the IFA as well as being acceptable to key stakeholders (such as China and the US).

Data, Statistics and Tools for Development-focused Public Finance: session at the UNDP Global Public Finance Dialogue

UNU-WIDER is attending the UNDP Global Public Finance Dialogue 28-31 January 2025 in New York. In collaboration with partners, it is hosting a side event titled Data, Statistics and Tools for Development-focused Public Finance on 31 January.
